Our Wednesday!

Today was Kai's school picture day at Longleaf Learning Center. Even though she doesn't attend school on Wednesday's her teachers let us hang out for over an hour during class time until they were ready for her class photos. We were really excited because this is her first ever school photo and we didn't want to miss it. Kohlston and I were able to do circle time where they gather around the teachers and talk about the weather, what day of the week it is, counting days of the month etc... as well as singing, dancing and play time at the different stations. It was really fun to see what goes on during Kai's school day. Kailey spent time at the table doing crafts with some of her friends and Kohlston even had the opportunity to play with some of the toys and kids. Kai's classmates were wonderful to Kohlston and he really enjoyed the stimulation!!! Here's Kai making an Easter Egg with different color crate paper. She's so busy at work she wouldn't look up at the camera :)

This evening we headed next door to Kai's friends, Elianna, to swim in their salt water pool! Our's is still a bit chilly but Elianna's Mommy heated their pool and it was 80 degrees! Ahhhh! The kids were like fish :) Kai is starting Seal Swim School (thanks Gigi & Peepaw for my fabulous Birthday gift) in May and we're anxious to see how that goes. Hopefully our little fish will be swimming along (no floaties) soon!!!

Kohlston got his bath a little early so he's all bundled up in his PJ's and sat on the side line observing all the kids. Shall I say "Lifeguard Kohlston".

Kohlston - 9 Months Old!

Today we saw Dr. Alverez for Kohlston's 9 month appointment. He is developmentally right on track: uses a sippy cup, claps, sits, stands (almost walking), babbles, shakes his head back and forth and is overall a giggly HAPPY little guy :) He was pretty good with the Doc. Usually stranger anxiety kicks in about now so I was pretty impressed.

Weight - 21.85 lb.s - 73%

Head - 18 cm - 70%

Today we stopped by to visit with Gram (a.k.a Mamaw). Little Miss Kai-Kai was so very excited to see her :) She was especially excited when Gram shared her chocolate - lol! Gram was in great spirits, seems very content and happy and was thrilled to see us (bless her heart). We'll be by again soon Gram - WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!

Kai-Kai the HAM!

We take A LOT of photos in this household as you can imagine with our blog! Lately Kai has decided she doesn't want to be photographed (unless she's in the mood). She's growing up on us - boo hoo :( :( It's bitter sweet to say the least. Anyhow, today I captured a few close ups of Kai "In The Mood" :) She's posing which cracks me up!! Ahhh - luv yah babe!

Oh!! I failed to mention she has her first ever 'school photo' coming up and that's what got us on the subject of posing. I tried to tell her not to stick her tongue out, or tilt her head or act silly etc....... too many rules I know - it's a Mommy's job. Only time will tell what it will turn out like. Surely, we'll posted it :) Stay tuned.....

Wagon Ride Weather!

Today was the perfect day for a Radio Flyer wagon ride! Kohlston was especially excited because it's his first time, that he remembers, riding in it. He couldn't get enough of the beautiful Florida breeze blowing through his fohawk! Kai was excited too because she was able to show lil bro the beauty of a 'walk through our neighborhood'. Spring is here!!!

Early Sat. morning we decided to pack up the car and head to the beach for a night! We went to North Reddington Beach (just about an hour South of here) and took the day/night to relax with our babes. While we were there we celebrated Daddy's 34th Birthday (a little early). HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY - we love you! We had a great time relaxing, swimming (more like wading through the water - it's still a bit chilly), building sand castles, making sand angels and just goofing off together. The first two shots are Kai & Kohlston in the room just about to head down to the beach. Let me tell you - they were EXCITED!!!

We brought an umbrella, chairs and Kohlston's pack-n-play and set up camp.
It was the perfect setting that allowed plenty of sun and shade for the kids.
Kohl had a blast people watching, bird watching and listening to the waves crash on the beach. He was soooooooooo good and enjoyed everyone minute of it!!!

Kai thought she was cool with her OJ because she had a lid. The waitress even drew a silly face on her cup. The things that excite kids - too funny!

What a day!!! We can't wait to do it again.

Day at the Mall!

Today we spent the day at Citrus Park Mall doing a little early Birthday shopping for Daddy (shhhhh - he'll be 34 on April 5th). Kai rode the Merry Go Round, played in the gym and we even had lunch there.

Here's Cool Man Kohl being the sweet boy that he is :) He can't wait until he's able to get up and run around with his big sister! His eyes are on her 24/7.
Kai got this puzzle figured out in no time at all! That's our smart cookie :-)

St. Patty's Day Celebration!

Last weekend Mommy & Daddy had their night out without us. Kohlston went to Gigi & Peepaw's and I spent the evening making cookies and playing with Mamaw Dorthy. There weren't many pictures taken but rest assure they said it was a great time. Here's Mom & Dad on the way to Palm Harbor's St. Patty's Day block party.

Weekend Fun!

This past weekend Daddy decided to attack the yard! He pulled quite a few dead plants, replaced them with new ones, moved some stuff around and put down fresh mulch. I love helping him in the yard too!
